Carlo has over fifteen years of experience in various finance roles primarily in the technology sector, including his past role as Director of Finance and Corporate Controller of Excel-Tech Ltd., a high-tech medical device publicly-traded company. In this role, Carlo was instrumental in the turnaround of the financial performance from $8M loss to $10M income within two years, and also key to ensuring sufficient infrastructure to foster and support increased revenues, which had annual growth of over 25%.

Carlo has experience growing companies from early start-up stages to much larger companies, including the creation of controls and procedures to support this growth, and the mentoring required to help employees focus and achieve the organizational goals. Carlo has been heavily involved in private and public equity offerings, including taking a company public on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the sale of a company to a US NASDAQ listed company for $62M.

Carlo obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business, where he was awarded a full four-year scholarship for academic excellence, and obtained his Canadian Chartered Accountant designation articling with Arthur Andersen.
